Last September the port operator APM Terminals, a division of the Danish company A.P. Moller-Maersk, reached an agreement with Perez y Cia Company to acquire its majority stake of Grup Marítim TCB, with headquarters in Barcelona, and its eleven Maritime cargo terminals in Valencia, Barcelona and Castellon along with concessions in Gijon, in the Bay of Biscay and in the Canary Islands.

The Company also has container terminals out of Spain, for example in Izmir, Turkey, Yucatan, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, and Brazil, among others. The closing of the transaction is expected at the end of the year, but the terms and the cost have not been published.
