Barcelona continues its enormous international appeal and interest in the airline. Air China has begun selling tickets for its new route between Barcelona and Shanghai, which will launch on May 5 and that will operate throughout the year. The flight will be operated on an Airbus 330.

The Chinese Airline, leader of flights between China and Europe, will operate three weekly flights. On this flight, the airline can make connections with destinations interiors as Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangz-hou or Fuzhou, and international destinations in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.

Barcelona-Shanghai route has a large annual traffic that until now were obliged to make connections through oher European airports or Middle East. Air China already operates the route between Barcelona and Beijing since May 5, from 2014. Of this way, the airline raises his bet by Barcelona with a second destination. Air China also operates a flight between Beijing and Madrid, two days a week extends to São Paulo (Brazil).

On the international routes, the Iranian airline Mahan Air will operate a new route between Barcelona and Tehran, as announced by the Spanish Ambassador to Iran, Eduardo López Busquets. The company also plans to operate a flight to Madrid in the future, but not yet scheduled.
